In his recent post, 5 Things Happiness, Rick Mahn tagged me to write about five things to be happy about in social media. Since I can’t resists doing these list memes, here goes.
Social Media and Social Networking have brought me a lot of fun and laughs over the last year. I can’t say all that I’d have missed out on without them. To pick five things, I’ll skip over getting too specific and just share five things I enjoy.
- Video shared from the world’s best conferences.
- Pictures of people from all over the world.
- Pictures and video of the wonders far and wide.
- Voices of my friends, from those with a French accent, to Australian, to Asian and more.
- Conversations with people from all walks of life, and all view points.
The shear diversity of it all brings me joy the most. A whole wealth of things have been brought to my door that I might never be able to venture out to on my own. From the numa numa song, to the lunar landers, from belly dancers to Scoble videos, and everything in between. It’s a richer world for social media.
I’d like to tag a couple of folks if they are so inclined. Glenda Watson, and Karen Putz.
