This past tweetup was a success. Turnout was quite good and the mood was welcoming. Many folks showed that I’d not had met in person before and several I had. It was good schmoozing all around.
The Royale turned out to be a fairly good spot for a get together. There was another group or two there but still folks managed to talk, drink and eat. My wife even got into the swing of things though she doesn’t twitter on her own account.
Karen took the photo above of Nanna J and I. Do the cowboy hats make us look like dorks?
This was mostly organized by Brad and folks just really came out ready to engage. Some of the folks were brand new to Twitter but several of us were vets. A few of us from the way back days. Yeah, hard to believe it’s not been that long ago that it was in beta.
All said, a tweetup is a great way to network with folks in your area. Why do you need some other common hobby like knitting to get together, when you have Twitter which covers a myriad of interests.
