Brag Basket Sharing Highlights

Each Friday, Becky McCray opens the Brag Basket for the weekend. It’s designed as a fun place for people to share their projects and accomplishments. But you can also cheer for other people, give shout outs, congratulate, and even give someone a well-deserved pat on the back.

Think that bragging is a bad thing? Read how Tony explains the Brag Basket.

The Brag Basket is open for everyone, whether a big social networker, a crafter, or just about anyone else.

Today I’m totally ripping off Becky’s Brag Basket for myself. So, will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! (Don’t copy and paste an ad, though, OK?) You don’t need special permission, and you don’t have to be from a small town. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend.

PS. Greg is doing is own version.

Becky,
You are inspiring in more ways than one. You and Greg should chat some time. He's a small biz owner in St. Louis. He's struggling to find his blogging identity.

Todd, congrats on starting your own brag basket, and for having such a terrific turnout on your first one! I can hardly wait to see how you change it, and make a brag basket that is truly your own and your community's. And I see you've inspired another of your community to start his own version! Congrats!

Thanks Todd and Courtney.

Courtney, nice going on the Girls' Guide, I must confess to checking it out a few times. And now that there is a 'dude post' on there, I don't have to hide it anymore.

Now that's awesome Rick! Not the being out of work, but the overestimating. What a blessing to discover that.

Hopefully your ideal job is just around the corner. I wish I could be more creative about helping my friends to get back to work. Tough times all around.

During the winter, while unemployed and eking out an existence on a nest-egg, I'd overestimated our monthly heating bill. The company is sending us a refund check for $1250, and we can hold off payments till August, by which if all goes according to plan I will join my wife in the work force once again!

Congrats Greg! I love anything that is 'automagic'!

Not yet! We just got started with the Girls Guide here, but feel free to stop by and share your thoughts on our posts (:

Thanks for being so encouraging to others here. Really helps uplilft folks.

Congratz on your situation. That's definitely brag worthy. Sounds like you're doing something right for sure.

Glad to have your brag! I'll definitely check out Joel's book. Can't wait to hear more.

Definitely brag worthy. The girls have it going on.

Cool idea!

Greg - Congrats on your company being chosen, and one closing the first sale! That's fantastic news!

Courtney - I'm not in St. Louis, but next time I travel there, I will definitely check out Girls Guide the the Galaxy.... do they cover other locations, too?

My brag? A client won the award for the Best Systems Management Solution at the SIIA CODiEs this week! (www.netuitive.com) Their product is really impressive and they totally deserved it!

On a personal note, their win means that my clients have won in this category for two years in a row - which feels great!

I will have to go ahead and "brag-on" about the gals at Girl's Guide to the Galaxy. Giving St. Louis a locally flavored site for the ladies (and now a weekly "Honorary Dude" post) is overdue. Stay tuned for a re-vamp of the Girl's Guide in the weeks ahead!

Way to go Greg! That's a wonderful bit of news, especially in these tough economic times.

Be sure to share any other good stuff you can today. Also, be sure to share this link out for others to brag.

Hey Todd, great idea! Today, I am going to brag about me, because I am proud of myself for this. My company and our parent co, we sell printer supplies, among other things. Anyway, we were picked by our supplier to go direct with HP on this new print management program, where the customer gets some software on their network, and it monitors their printers and automagically orders toner when they need it, tells them they need paper, schedules maintenance, etc...it was kind of cool for our company to get picked, but this happened a while ago, and none of the salespeople had managed to sell a contract yet.

Well anyway, it looks like yours truly has landed the first contract company-wide!

This all probably sounds a little Dwight Schrute-esque, but I was dying to tell someone....thanks for the opportunity.
