Origami Gallery Diagrams on 12seconds.tv
The video is my recommendation for an origami diagram site. It’s where I found an easy to follow diagram for the well known origami crane. Shown in the video is my first attempt.
I purchased Teach Yourself Origami and have worked through the first several items. The book doesn’t just have animals, and I’ve already made two types of houses and a piano.
The paper purchases have all been at Barnes and Noble, and this origami paper was my first. Paper I’ve not worked with, but purchased, includes animal prints. I’m saving that for actual animal origami.
Paper folding has always interested me. Before now I wasn’t brave enough to give it a try. I figured it must be difficult or more folks would give it a whirl. Being able to visualize how a fold is going to turn out is a huge benefit. So what’s made it easier is provided diagrams. Surprise! You don’t have to figure it out on your own.
I’ve started an origami set on Flickr. Pictures of completed pieces, ugly or not, will be displayed there.

Hey Todd,
I love origami. I have a couple calendars that I bought, those page a day kind, that have a different paper design and a different animal/plant/whatever every day also. I've always been interested in it. I have several books, and different sizes paper. My two favorite things to make are the useful ones - a cup, and a corner-of-the-page bookmark.
