Mafia Wars Goes To Cuba

mafia wars on facebook Mafia Wars Goes To Cuba

Zynga opens up Cuba and the hunt is on. Cuba is open for beta today. It’s only available to a portion of the regular players, but now you can turn your muscle South and enjoy a hand rolled cigar along the way.

Cuba opens today with a new set of jobs, and a new set of rules. Who knew but that corruption is everywhere in Cuba, especially if you’re on the wrong side of the law. Each job has a corruption tax or bribe amount required. It’s based on what items are required for the job

Speaking of items, there’s a whole new set in Cuba. New armor, weapons and vehicles will be found and available for purchase. Interestingly though, combat includes the best of both worlds by allow the items from New York and Cuba.

You don’t get stuck in Cuba either.

The plane ride is even free. So jump back and forth to play. One small problem…. you only have one energy pool to share between the both.

An important note, your cash doesn’t transfer between the two locales. Another note is the minimum level here in Cuba is 35. Sadly the first job you can do is robbing a cab driver.

I’d love to hear about your Cuban Mafia Wars experiences.

I am stuck in cuba. I was stuck for 7 days. It wouldnt allow me to travel back to NY or to send gifts. They finally fixed it and when I went back to cuba again I did one job and was unable to go back to NY or send gifts once again. When I send gifts all that comes up is a white page.

No way to get started. Even people who go to foreign countries can transfer money. Loads of requirements to rob. No instructions on how to get them. I'm sticking with Mafia Wars New York, until I get totally tired of it. It (Mafia Wars) already seems to have slowed down. All you can do is wait for energy. Can't afford to buy anything with real money. There needs to be a game with real action, not just waiting around for energy to press a button and wait again.

I think I had 2 of my 3 "local tough"s stolen from me...and if they weren't stolen, what happened to them? At C$8000 each, that was a lot of work to get them. I can see getting dropped loot stolen, but not your purchased items. If that is how things work, I am no longer a fan of the Cuban Mafia Wars.
  • I find it just a tad buggy. It seems that if I rob someone in Cuba, the money doesn't stay in Cuba. I thought once it did, but I'm not so sure. Share the same stats throughout is fine, but I wish there was an easier way to get some scratch.
  • I'm in with both you and anarchy, not enough to get started on.
The cash is slim pickings and no way to get a leg up.

Per the forums, fighting money goes to main game unless both of you are in Cuba. Also they acknowledge some bugs still yet; it is in beta.

Money aside, waiting till you're energy is full is about the only recourse to get a real start there.
