Todd, thanks for this. I was initially excited about the idea of outside.in, but I was not aware of the stltoday connection. I will have to see if they are aggregating me and if I can opt out as well.

The way you frame it, the whole think seems a little sneaky. I need to dig into this a bit.

Aggregation company isn't local but STLToday is.
They've been after local blogs for years. I'm sure Outside.in is actually another company that went toe-to-toe with local bloggers a couple years back but under a different name.

Know what bugs me? The hyperlocal claim, yet they are out of Brooklyn, NY.

They don't CARE about our area. I guess it's the way of the Internet, but it makes me sad.
