My Touch Is Better Than Yours

My Touch Is Better Than Yours. Or why us tech heads and gadget gurus are arguing about the ins and outs of Apple versus Google, Android versus iPhone, and Flash versus HTML5.

We know you don’t really care. You just bought your smartphone, downloaded some apps, and you’re jamming. Beyond making calls, you can tweet, post to Facebook and play solitaire when no ones looking. Heck, there’s even that app for restaurants.

Pundits are arguing and it’s so you don’t have to care. Egos might play a part but truth be told each side believes they are arguing for what’s best for you, the non-geek user.

Your experience and your future as a gadget user is a huge concern.

Gear heads like me want you to have the best possible future. No traps, no lock in, no privacy concerns. Those are all at the top of the geek worry list.

My advice? Just ignore us for now. Ostrich much? Not at all. Carefree is a better way to see it.

Google, Apple, and Adobe have one thing in common; they are all businesses looking to make a profit.  They key difference is how each approaches it. Evil? Companies like these might be driven by the bottom dollar but evil is a bit strong. They are not out to get you, just your money.

Go; play; talk; tweet; update; recharge.

It’s the best time ever to jump into the smartphone world. Entry barrier? What entry barrier? No more complex installs. No more disks to lose. Heck, even backups are automatic.

Your neighbor or coworker start fussing about your choices? Take their picture, post it to Facebook, and then move on.

See you on net!
