December 30th, 2009 — How-To, St. Louis, Tools
I have a list of requirements for my WiFi spots before I’ll grab my laptop and head out for a work session. My favorite places have all 5 of the features below.
Free Wi-Fi (free)
Good coffee with free unlimited refills (coffee)
Good access to outlets (plugs)
Real food…not just muffins & dessert (food)
Easy parking (cars)
Karen kicks off a great blog post with that breakdown. The article goes on to list free wi-fi spots in the St. Louis metro organized by area of town.
Each establishment is listed with the features below it. Beyond that are descriptions of many of those locales, including comments on the coffee, plugs, and ease of parking.
This is the most definitive list I’ve run across for St. Louis.

February 25th, 2008 — Blogging, Odd Ends
I’m evaluating a
multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you
snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.
It covers:
- The best blogging techniques.
- How to get traffic to your blog.
- How to turn your blog into money.
I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.
